The premium formaldehyde filter pack, designed to eliminate Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), consists of two main filters:

• A medical-grade HEPA filter, H14 level, meaning it filters 99.995% of the ultrafine particles present in your indoor air. An ultrafine particle is one that measures up to 0.1 microns, which is approximately 1/40th the diameter of a human hair.
• A large, high-density activated carbon filter that adsorbs VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and odors present in the air.

The difference between a HEPA13 filter with its high efficiency of 99.95% and a HEPA14 filter with its very high efficiency of 99.995% may seem small, but in reality, it's a factor of 1 to 10.

HEPA14 filters only allow 5 ultrafine particles per liter of air to pass through, while HEPA13 filters allow 50.

As a reminder, your A&S 300 Premium air purifier is also equipped with a sensor that measures the number of fine particles in the air and automatically activates the purifier when the air is polluted. For optimal performance, it is important to clean the sensor chamber every two months.
