Efficient filtration
The foundation of a quality air purifier is its filtration system. Your air purifier should have three levels of filters:
- a pre-filter that traps heavy dust, hair and other debris, thus preventing the subsequent filters from clogging too quickly,
- a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter that will capture the airborne fine particles,
- an activated carbon filter that traps gases, volatile organic compounds and odors.
In addition, the surface area of these filters will determine the efficiency of the filtration. The larger the surface area, the more efficient the filtration.
