Description
The A&S 200 Medium air purifier offers two types of medical-grade filtration. It features a Class 13 HEPA filter, recommended by ANSES (French National Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety) and the HCSP (High Council for Public Health), combined with a high-density activated carbon filter, and a HEPA 14 filter.
The Medium H14 filter pack includes two filters:
A medical-grade HEPA filter, H14 level (EN1822 standard), meaning it filters 99.995% of ultrafine particles in your indoor air. An ultrafine particle is one that measures up to 0.1 microns, which is approximately 1/40th the diameter of a human hair.
A high-density activated carbon filter that effectively removes VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and odors from the air.
The difference between a HEPA13 filter with its high efficiency of 99.95% and a HEPA14 filter with its very high efficiency of 99.995% may seem small, but in reality, it's a factor of 1 to 10.
HEPA14 filters only allow 5 ultrafine particles per liter of air to pass through, while HEPA13 filters allow 50.
The action of these various filters improves the quality of the air you breathe.
The Medium filter pack also includes a grid that, if desired, allows for photocatalysis when used with a UV lamp.
